PRS Capital welcome new legislation to raise letting standards

PRS Capital pride ourselves on providing high-end housing for our tenants. As a business we were disheartened by recent figures suggesting that complaints about letting agents have risen by 37% in the first half of the year, as revealed by an ombudsman as new legislation to curb rogue agents comes into force.

The private rented sector is a growing industry and PRS Capital work tirelessly to create communities and sustainable developments. Consequently we welcome the new legislations requiring all landlords to register with redress schemes in order to mature and improve the reputation of the industry of a whole, which is tarnished by the actions of a few.

The Property Ombudsman, the UK’s largest dispute resolution service, dealt with 721 complaints against letting agents between January and June this year - a 37% increase from the same period last year. In contrast PRS Capital’s recent developments such as Wynard Park in Teeside has been commended for its vibrant and sustained community and high customer satisfaction record.
